Parent Educator

Essential Job Functions

• Plan, implement, and document personal home visits with families with children birth to five
• Conduct and interpret screenings and share results with parents
• Develop appropriate developmental activity sessions with parents and children
• Suggest referral resources to families as needed

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree
• Certification in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education or Social Work
• Early Childhood experience is required
• Parents as Teachers National Center Foundational Training preferred
• Working knowledge of Google Apps
• Willingness to learn new computer applications necessary for the job
• Ability to speak Spanish fluently a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively to students, parents, school personnel and others
• Knowledgeable about child development birth to age 5

• Physical mobility to make home visits to children from birth to 5 years of age
