About the role

Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Migrant Education, the Parent and Community Liaison coordinates the parent involvement component of the assigned program to provide information to parents regarding public education and promotes active parent and community participation to ensure the academic success of students.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate parent-involvement activities for the Migrant Education Program
  • Provide information to parents about public education and available resources
  • Promote active parent and community engagement in support of student academic success
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings when necessary

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited college
  • Three years’ experience working with committees, community agencies, or parent groups, including demonstrated experience in public speaking, training, and volunteer recruitment
  • Possession of an appropriate, valid California Driver’s License and evidence of insurability
  • Passing score on the MCOE Spanish language competency test
  • Copy of transcript
  • All foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a CTC-approved agency to determine the equivalent U.S. degree and major; the Foreign Transcript Evaluation must be attached to your application

Pay

$29.18 – $37.89 per hour
