Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains the flow of the assembly line by effectively and efficiently checking each parcel package to ensure that the correct items are being shipped to the customer
- Monitors and documents parcel packages using the correct desktop program
- Communicates with the Parcel Lead to resolve any discrepancies
- Organizes workspace for optimal safety, teamwork, and efficiency
- Performs a 5S walk throughout assigned are before departing
- Understand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner using the established procedures, methods, and safe working requirements
- Implements and maintains department policies and standards
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0- 6 months previous experience
- Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written safety and quality instructions in English
- Willingness to work flexible shift hours and day, afternoon, or night shift as well as overtime hours on those shifts with little notice
- Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, establish department/discipline goals and objectives for self
- Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop
- Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands
Physical Requirements
- Essential functions of this job require the following minimal physical demands:
- Must be comfortable working in a complex production machining and assembly environment
- The working area is primarily in a manufacturing environment located around machines and heavy equipment such as a forklift or pallet operator
- Operation of the machine requires working with, and coming into contact with, various materials and substances
- Willingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or safety vest
- Working temperatures may vary from hot, cold, humid, wet or dry
- Working hours may be extended and weekends may be required in order to meet manufacturing needs
