Paratransit Driver
We are looking for an experienced Bus Driver to join our team in Concord, CA. This is a union position subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Pay
Starting pay: $23.90 per hour, with progression to $29.28 per hour over 5 years.

Responsibilities
- Execute flawless operations by following designated routes and schedules while adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
- Provide exceptional care and assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and maintain cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- 21 years or older
- Valid CDL Class C with passenger endorsement and VTT
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason)
Physical Requirements
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions (100% of the job is performed outside, often alone and in remote locations)
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk on sloped, slippery, or uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects up to 15 pounds; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
- Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access files or equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas, exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
