Paraprofessional - Up to $23.50/hr

About the role

We are seeking exceptional Teacher's Assistants, TAs, and Paraprofessionals for our year-round day school located in Geneva, IL. Hours are 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday-Friday. Our hourly rates for Life Skills are as follows:

• No experience: $20.00
• 2 years of Paraprofessional experience: $21.00
• 5 years or more of Paraprofessional experience: $22.50

With a Bachelor's Degree, our hourly rates for Life Skills are:

• No experience: $21.00
• 2 years of Paraprofessional experience: $22.00
• 5 years or more of Paraprofessional experience: $23.50

Responsibilities

Aid teachers with classwork and the daily care of students with special needs.

• Provide direct care
• Attend In-services and other educational functions as required
• Keep equipment in classroom in clean condition
• Provide a safe physical environment for all students
• Document all goals/program including daily participation records after completing a task with a student
• Work directly with students one-on-one and in groups outlined in the IEP's
• Must successfully pass PCM (behavior management) training

Qualifications

• Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license is required. It can be obtained after being hired within 30 days, and we will offer a $500 bonus for getting it.
• Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements.
