Paraprofessional - Up to $23.50/hr

About the role

We are seeking exceptional Teacher's Assistants, TAs, and Paraprofessionals for our year-round day school located in Geneva, IL. Hours are 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday-Friday. Our hourly rates for Life Skills are $20.00 with no experience, $21.00 with 2 years of Paraprofessional experience, and up to $22.50 with 5 years or more of Paraprofessional experience. For those with a Bachelor's Degree, the rates are $21.00 with no experience, $22.00 with 2 years of Paraprofessional experience, and up to $23.50 with 5 years or more of Paraprofessional experience.

Responsibilities

• Aid teachers with classwork and the daily care of students with special needs.
• Provide direct care, attend in-services and other educational functions as required.
• Keep equipment in the classroom in clean condition and ensure a safe physical environment for all students.
• Document all goals/programs, including daily participation records after completing a task with a student.
• Work directly with students one-on-one and in groups outlined in their IEPs.
• Must successfully pass PCM (behavior management) training.

Qualifications

• Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license is required. It can be obtained after being hired within 30 days, and we offer a $500 bonus for obtaining it.
• Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job and meet functional and environmental requirements.
