About the role

The Branch ISD Special Education Department supports students from pre-K to age 26 with mild to severe impairments. They collaborate with local schools to offer a range of services including instructional, hearing and vision, physical and occupational therapy, speech, psychological, and nursing services. The department is dedicated to ensuring the success of each student and values diversity and positivity.

Responsibilities

• Support students in their classroom based on their level of disability
• Work to high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and timely completion of work
• Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor, positive attitude, and outgoing personality
• Maintain confidentiality and be open to professional development requests

Qualifications

• 2 years' successful experience as a para-professional in a program serving unique mental and/or physical abilities (preferred)
• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
