Paraprofessional – Special Education (ASD) 32.5 Hours Per Week

MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated educators to fill various teaching and administrative positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles support alternative certification pathways for professionals transitioning into education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned subject areas and grade levels.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success.
• Participate in professional development and alternative certification training programs.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by school or district leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated subject-matter expertise in the area of instruction.
• Commitment to pursuing Michigan teacher certification through an alternative pathway.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet state certification requirements.
