Key Responsibilities
- Prepare teaching materials and tutor individual students under the supervision of the instructor
- Communicate the progress of the students to the instructor
- Perform such duties as may relate to the motivation and achievement of students in academic and skills areas
- Aid with behavior interventions under the direction of the instructor
- Aid with routine daily activities, including bus duty, recess, lunch, bathroom duties (may include diapering), etc.
- Support in a classroom environment by working directly with teachers and students
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Design and/or prepare training/instructional materials, teaching aids, and devices
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements: American Sign Language skills required. Practical knowledge of basic classroom techniques and organization. Practical skills in working effectively with students. Safe and timely response to special classroom situations. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions. Communicate clearly and effectively. Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in either written or electronic form. Deal with people in a manner showing sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to drive a state vehicle is required. Successful completion of criminal background check contingent upon employment.

Work Schedules: Monday through Friday, thirty (30) hours per week
About The Role: These are part-time positions for nine (9) months (181 days) each school year.
