Qualifications
- Able to work 5 days per week during the school year (approximately 25 hours per week)
- Must have passed the ParaPro exam or be able to complete upon hire
- Completed 2 years of college in course work relevant to elementary education or library sciences
- OBTAINED AN ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE OR HIGHER IN A COURSE OF STUDY RELEVANT TO ELEMENTARY EDUCATION OR LIBRARY SCIENCES.
Requirements
- Willing to teach and direct library skills to elementary aged students
- Willing to learn and use library programs and Microsoft products
- Able to assist with shelving and checking in/out books/textbooks and equipment
- Able to work collaboratively with classroom teacher and other library staff members
- MUST HAVE THE SKILL SET TO CALMLY WORK WITH STUDENT AND STAFF NEEDS.
