Paraprofessional (Category B and C) - Middle and High School - Extended Deadline

Middletown Township Public Schools is looking for qualified paraprofessionals to work with our middle school, high school, and adult transition students.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college credits or Paraprofessional Praxis test required
• BS/BA degree preferred
• NJ Teaching Certificate preferred
• Paraprofessionals who were hired and have been continuously employed with MTPS as of June 2005 and passed the in-district paraprofessional assessment are not required to meet the qualifications above

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in the delivery of effective instructional program
• Record and/or collect data under the direction of the teacher
• C/D Rate assignments: Monitor and implement a student's Behavior Intervention Plan / Address behavior as required
• C Rate assignments: Assist with physical care of students, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering

Schedule

Up to 29.75 hours per week

Pay

• B Rate hours: $26.55
• C/D Rate hours: $30.41
