Piedmont Walton's Emergency Department is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment serving patients of all ages as a Level III Trauma Center. With 15 treatment rooms and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, our team is committed to providing high-quality, timely care while emphasizing strong prioritization, teamwork, and professionalism. Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician, facilitate age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care
• Maintain a safe environment
• Educate patients and their families
• Collect information, communicate effectively, and utilize technology
• Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of health care services and tasks
• Provide patient advocacy, teaching, and performance improvement
• Oversee unlicensed personnel

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Work Experience: 1 year of experience as a Paramedic Preferred
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • ACLS Upon Hire Required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support – Paramedics new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date (within 120 Days Required)
  • LP - Licensed Paramedic – Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia and National Registry Preferred
