Paramedic - PRN

About the role

The Field Paramedic is responsible for administering prompt and efficient pre‑hospital care to patients. The role contributes to and participates in the department’s performance improvement programs, monitors and ensures adequate supplies and equipment, and completes required medical and non‑medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and efficient pre‑hospital care to patients.
• Participate in department performance improvement programs when requested.
• Monitor and ensure provision of adequate supplies and equipment.
• Complete required medical and non‑medical records.
• Track record transfer volumes and support regional growth initiatives.

Requirements

• 2 years of EMS‑related experience.
• National Registry EMT‑Paramedic (NREMT‑P) certification.
• State EMT‑P licensure (Louisiana).
• CPR certification.
• Defensive driving certification.
• Hazmat awareness training.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.
• CPR Instructor (CPI) within 90 days of hire.
• Chauffeur’s license or equivalent.
