About the role
The EMT-Paramedic is responsible for implementing nursing/patient care based on knowledge and experience. The functions include collecting patient health data, identifying expected outcomes individualized to the patient, implementing interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluating the patient's progress toward attainment of the outcomes.
This individual effectively interacts with the family and other interdisciplinary team members to maximize efforts and resources needed to ensure quality patient care based on established clinical practice standards. They work cooperatively with the medical staff and other hospital personnel who support the plan of care for addressing the multicultural and age-appropriate care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
The EMT-Paramedic addresses the patient/family biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs while serving as a clinical resource to physicians, other personnel, and management. They support the organizational vision and mission, independently perform job functions, contribute to quality nursing care through performance improvement activities, and are responsible for self-development.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
- Graduate of an accredited school of EMT-Paramedic
- Valid Driver's license and driving record in accordance with facility policy
- Current applicable state EMS Paramedic license
- BCLS certification required annually
- ACLS certification encouraged
- Certification in a related specialty encouraged
Pay
Pay Range: $24.10 - $36.15
Schedule
Part time, benefits ineligible. Hours vary, including various times and days.
