Paramedic - Princeton

About This Position

Provides advanced life support care to the sick and injured and safely transports customers of all ages to a medical facility. In addition, the paramedic assists with other services and events as directed by North Memorial Ambulance Service.

Requirements

• Education: Successfully completed paramedic training program from an accredited institution required. Associate of Science degree preferred.
• Experience: Previous ambulance experience preferred. Previous advanced life support experience preferred. For Air Care Paramedics, three (3) years of ALS experience as a Paramedic required. For Air Care Paramedics, prior flight experience preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to organize, problem solve, make decisions during emergency situations and work independently. Possess or quickly acquire knowledge of the street and highway system within the service area.

Licensure/Certification

• Ground Paramedic Requirements:
  • Current Minnesota or Wisconsin Paramedic Certification or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date. State Requirement
  • American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or American Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days. NMHC Standard
  • Valid State Class D driver's license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record. State Requirement
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS Certification. NMHC Preferred
  • ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700 or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date. NMHC Standard
• Air Care Paramedic Requirements:
  • Current Minnesota Paramedic Certification or obtain within 60 days of hire date.
  • Current Wisconsin Paramedic Certification or obtain within 6 months of hire date.
  • National Registered Paramedic.
  • American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or American Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days.
  • Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C) within 12 months from date of hire.
  • American Heart Association and American Red Cross PALS Certification upon hire or within 14 days.
  • ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700 or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or obtain within 6 months of hire date.
  • Maximum weight of 215 pounds in uniform.
  • Valid State Class D driver's license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record.

Pay & Schedule

• Hours per two week pay period: 72
• Shift: Day/Evening/Night 12 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Weekends by Department Rotation
• Call Requirement: None

• Salary Range: Medical Transportation Paramedic Metro ($32.96 - $48.93), based on experience
• Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
