Role Overview
The ED Technician provides patient care under the medical direction of the Medical Director and supervision of the ED attending physician, with general management by the RN. They support clinical tasks by following physician orders, policies, procedures, and established standards, ensuring quality care for patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect pertinent clinical and psychosocial data within their certification scope.
- Report findings to the RN and ED Attending.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care to support the hospital's mission of excellent patient service.
- Assist in achieving nursing standards of autonomous, accountable, and innovative care focused on patient advocacy.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Paramedic certification in Florida.
- Specialty certifications such as BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
- At least one year of Paramedic experience; pre-hospital and critical care transport skills preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED and graduate from an approved Paramedic Program.
