Paramedic (Part-Time)

About the role

The position is under the general supervision of the Fire Chief and involves performing emergency medical and trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Rescues victims from hazardous conditions
• Responds to select medical and traumatic emergencies
• Provides emergency medical care at the scene, enroute to the hospital and during transportation from facility-to-facility
• Adheres to local, regional and state guidelines regarding patient care
• Ensures that emergency vehicles and equipment are always ready to use
• Performs assigned station and housekeeping duties while on shift
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 21 years old at time of hire
• Utah State Paramedic License (Must be current and in good standing)
• American Heart BLS CPR provider card
• Current ACLS and PALS Certifications
• Valid Utah Driver's License
• Ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds without assistance and difficulty
• Be available a minimum of 48 hours each month in 12 hour shift increments
