Concentra is hiring an experienced and self-driven Full-Time Paramedic to provide healthcare support at our onsite clinic located at a client's site in Clyde, OH.
Schedule
Sunday 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM, Monday–Thursday 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Pay
Starting at $27/hr
Responsibilities
- Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing (training provided)
- Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and conducting ancillary testing such as vaccines, injections, phlebotomy, pulmonary function tests, audiogram testing, and respirator fit testing
- Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.) (training provided)
- Determine nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures or need for additional assistance
- Perform routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician and triage emergent patients
- Assist clients with case management of injuries and follow-up care
- Dispense medications and durable medical equipment (DME) as ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with state regulations and standing orders
- Administer prescribed first-aid treatment, including splints, oxygen, intravenous injections, wound care, and artificial resuscitation
- Communicate with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities to arrange patient reception and follow further treatment instructions
- Complete quality assurance activities on equipment, medical devices, and testing processes
- Maintain supplies, clean equipment, and the onsite clinic
- Complete applicable training, including monthly clinical competency training
- Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping
- Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility issues arise
- Keep patients informed of expected wait times
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
- Attend client safety team meetings or huddles as required
- Assist client with wellness activities
- Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly facility
Requirements
- Paramedic license required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician or Advanced EMT
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- 3 years of 911 experience required
- Firefighter experience a plus
- Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol Certification, and Hair/Oral Fluids Collection certifications a plus
- OSHA safety certifications or experience a plus
- ARC/CPR Instructor certification a plus
- Must meet state credentialing requirements
- Continuing education required to maintain licensure
