Paramedic - Onsite

Concentra is hiring an experienced and self-driven Full-Time Medic to provide healthcare support at our onsite clinic located at a client's site in Elizabethtown, PA.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Pay

$30 - $32 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical and trauma care to patients in various settings
• Perform triage and deliver urgent care to patients in line with established protocols
• Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing (training provided)
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing ancillary testing such as vaccines, injections, phlebotomy, pulmonary function tests, audiogram testing, and respirator fit testing
• Perform rapid screening tests (e.g., influenza, strep, mono, glucose) (training provided)
• Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures or need for additional assistance
• Perform routine medical procedures as ordered by the treating clinician and triage emergent patients
• Assist with case management of injuries and follow-up care
• Dispense medications and durable medical equipment (DME) as ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with state regulations and standing orders
• Administer prescribed first-aid treatment, including splints, oxygen, intravenous injections, wound care, and artificial resuscitation
• Communicate with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities as directed by the Center Medical Director
• Complete quality assurance activities on equipment, medical devices, and testing processes
• Maintain supplies, clean equipment, and the onsite clinic
• Complete applicable training, including monthly clinical competency training
• Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping
• Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or the facility is not operating as expected
• Keep patients informed of expected wait times
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
• Attend client safety team meetings or huddles as required
• Assist with wellness activities and maintain a neat, clean, and orderly facility

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician or Advanced EMT
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol Certification, and Hair/Oral Fluids Collection certifications are a plus
• OSHA safety certifications or experience a plus
• ARC/CPR Instructor certification a plus
• Must meet state-specific credentials and regulations
• 3 years of 911 experience required
• Firefighter experience a plus
• Continuing education required to maintain licensure
