Paramedic Instructor with Security Clearance

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led medical training in classroom, field, and simulation-based environments.
  • Instruct and support 68W sustainment training, Combat Lifesaver training, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, MEDIC TC 8-800, BLS, ALS, PHTLS, PALS, and other approved medical courses.
  • Support training for Active Army, Army Reserve, Army National Guard, deploying units, and other authorized personnel.
  • Set up, configure, operate, monitor, and reset MSTC medical training devices, simulators, and simulation systems.
  • Operate and support medical TADSS, including patient simulators, trauma lane equipment, partial task trainers, moulage materials, and related training systems.
  • Perform operator-level maintenance and preventive maintenance checks and services on medical TADSS before, during, and after training events.
  • Support development, preparation, and execution of realistic medical training scenarios using approved Programs of Instruction and medical proponent guidance.
  • Evaluate student performance, support testing and skills validation, and document training results.
  • Conduct or support After Action Reviews and capture lessons learned, trends, and areas for sustainment or improvement.
  • Maintain training records, attendance rosters, student evaluations, instructor records, and other required documentation.
  • Manage or support training supplies, consumables, moulage materials, synthetic blood, PMCS kits, and other simulation support materials.
  • Cook up with Government site leads, course coordinators, units, and maintenance contractors to support scheduled training events.
  • Comply with safety, risk management, HAZMAT, OSHA, environmental, public health, and local installation requirements.
  • Complete required security and mandatory training, including installation access, cybersecurity, OPSEC, antiterrorism, iWatch, and other required training.
  • Support surge training events, weekend training, drill weekends, annual training periods, and temporary duty requirements as needed.
  • Maintain professional conduct and support customer satisfaction, mission readiness, and uninterrupted MSTC operations.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Nationally Registered Paramedic certification.
  • Medically credentialed certified instructor through a commercial credentialing agency in accordance with American Red Cross standards or as directed by MEDCoE.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Completion/certification on TC 8-800, all tables, on an annual basis.
  • Must meet one of the following background requirements:
    • A former 68W or 18D Noncommissioned Officer and Advanced Leader Course graduate;
    • A former Navy NEC 8404 or Navy Independent Duty Corpsman, E-6 or above;
    • A former Air Force 4N0X1 or Aerospace Medical Service, E-6 or above;
    • A current licensed Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Physician.

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in classroom, field, trauma lane, and simulation environments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, move training materials, set up training lanes, and support physically realistic medical training scenarios.
  • Ability to work with moulage materials, simulated blood, medical training supplies, and training devices in accordance with safety and HAZMAT procedures.
  • May require travel, weekend work, surge support, or OCONUS support depending on site assignment.
  • Must be a United States citizen, successfully pass an extensive government background investigation, and receive government client approval.
