About the Role

Responsible for administering advanced life support care on 911 emergency incidents and during transportation of patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer advanced life support care on 911 emergency incidents.
• Provide care during transportation of patients.
• Prepare patients for the level of care needed upon hospital arrival.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Paramedic or PHRN in the Commonwealth of PA or eligible for and completion of reciprocity process if certified in another state.
• AHA BLS required within six (6) months of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 30 days of start date.
• Valid Driver’s license or eligible for a Commonwealth of PA driver’s license if out of state.
• PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
• HazMat Awareness Training and NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) required within 30 days of start date.
• Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days of start date.

Pay

• $5,000 Sign-On Bonus (eligible to those that qualify).
• Evening Shift Differential: $2.00/hour.
• Night Shift Differential: $2.50/hour.

Schedule

• Varied shifts (evening and night).
• 12-hour shifts.

Life Lion offers 24/7 emergency medical services (EMS) and 911 response to numerous municipalities throughout Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, Lebanon, York, Lancaster, and Berks counties. The team includes paramedics, emergency medical technicians, nurses, physicians, pilots, dispatchers, and mechanics who are highly trained to deliver lifesaving services, including advanced and basic life support.

Critical Care staff members are among the most highly trained clinicians in the nation, attending countless hours of continuing education and advanced clinical rotations to provide the same level of critical care in the out-of-hospital environment during transport.
