Paramedic - Full-Time

About the role

Deliver emergency medical care in pre-hospital settings, responding to 911 calls and providing advanced life support during transport.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess patient conditions
• Provide advanced life support and emergency medical treatment
• Transport patients safely to medical facilities
• Communicate effectively with emergency response teams
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain and inspect medical equipment
• Educate patients and families on medical care and follow-up

Requirements

• Current New York State Paramedic license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA credentials must be obtained within 3 months if not already held)
• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to operate in hazardous and high-stress environments
• Physical capability to lift and move patients up to 250 lbs
• Professional demeanor under pressure
• Commitment to staying current with medical protocols and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in 911 and inter-facility transport
• Critical care experience

Physical Demands

• Heavy lifting, carrying, and moving of patients and equipment
• Prolonged walking, standing, and kneeling
• Ability to work in diverse and challenging environmental conditions

Pay

$28.75 - $34.25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
