Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) under the immediate supervision of the unit commander.
- Respond with assigned unit to fire alarms and other emergencies.
- Extinguish fires and protect life and property against fire hazards.
- Participate in fire prevention activities.
- Exercise prudent use, care, and maintenance of fire/rescue apparatus and property.
- Drive fire/rescue apparatus.
- Perform related work as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Current Michigan Paramedic license or AEMT license.
- Michigan Firefighters Training Council Firefighter I & II certification.
- Hazardous Materials Operations level certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Candidates currently in Paramedic School may apply.
