Paramedic - Emergency Medical Services (24 Hours)

Annualized potential starting earnings of $75,000.

Responsibilities

• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) patient care
• Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) patient care
• Perform ambulance transportation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of related experience
• Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures

Licenses and Certifications

• Georgia Paramedic License
• ACLS Certification
• Healthcare Provider (CPR) Certification
• Valid Driver’s License

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, meeting insurability requirements, and a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience.

Knowledge

• Emergency clinical practices and protocol
• Use of medical and related emergency equipment
• Local geography

• Work independently as part of a team, sometimes alongside emergency fire and police units

• Work during odd hours and for extended periods, sometimes outdoors and in adverse weather conditions

• Work with a partner in lifting patients whose weight occasionally exceeds 200 pounds
• Avoid or minimize health risks from exposure to ill patients
• Exercise judgment, dexterity, and physical coordination
• Prepare clear and concise reports
• Drive emergency vehicles
