24hr Paramedic

About the role

The Paramedic responds to emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests, providing immediate patient care and leadership to EMTs during calls requiring Advanced Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring ambulance readiness
• Cleaning vehicles and quarters
• Communicating crew and vehicle positions
• Transporting patients
• Managing patient care during transport
• Assessing vital signs
• Interpreting ECGs
• Performing CPR
• Administering medications via multiple routes
• Intubating patients
• Assisting in childbirth

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Paramedic
• Various FEMA NIMS certifications
• ACLS certification (within specified timeframes)
• PALS certification (within specified timeframes)
• BLS certification (within specified timeframes)
• HazMat certification (within specified timeframes)
• Valid driver's license
