Paramedic ED-Emergency Room

About the role

An assistant to nursing on the unit whose primary function is to assist with patient care and to help ensure care is complete. The ED Paramedic works as part of the nursing team on the unit to ensure that each and every patient and guest to the hospital has their needs met, whether that need is physical, emotional, spiritual or educational. Promotes a positive image of Baptist Health in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care in the Emergency Room
• Support nursing staff to ensure complete and timely patient care
• Address patient needs across physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational domains
• Represent Baptist Health positively within the community

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Paramedic Training Program
• Current Arkansas state and national registration as a Paramedic
• Minimum of one (1) year of current Paramedic experience
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in acute care, knowledge, and skills
• Ability to care for multiple patients simultaneously
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• Willingness to obtain PALS and TNCC certification within the first six (6) months of employment

Schedule

• Shift: Night
• Working Hours: 6:00 pm – 7:00 am

Hours

This job will be authorized for 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
