About the role

Willis-Knighton is seeking a National Registry EMT - Paramedic who attends ALS and BLS patients transported by the Willis-Knighton Ambulance service. The paramedic is required to have ACLS, PALS, and BLS active certifications. Must have the ability to obtain Louisiana appropriate license for your certification level. This full-time position's duties include, but not limited to, ambulance inspection for cleanliness and proper equipment and medical supplies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect ambulances for cleanliness and proper equipment and medical supplies
• Order supplies through the Asst. Director and maintain ready response vehicles for patient transport
• Conduct monthly inspections of ALS equipment and medicine bags for current supply levels and expiration dates
• Complete patient chart audits and signed PCS forms requiring monthly inspections
• Work cooperatively with other transport team members
• Demonstrate good public relations skills in dealing with physicians, nurses, hospitals, and referral agencies
• Maintain professional behavior and represent Willis-Knighton in a positive manner

Requirements

• National Registry EMT - Paramedic
• Active ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
• Ability to obtain Louisiana appropriate license for certification level
• At least one year of experience in patient care
• Clear chauffeur driver's license
