Basic Function
Deliver pre-hospital emergency care and other forms of related health care transportation. Administer advanced life support. Responsible for clinical oversight of all emergency and non-emergency incidents including the direction of EMT staff.
Qualifications/Experience
This position requires a minimum of three years related experience.
Education
High School degree and Post-Secondary vocational training.
Certification
- Vermont, New Hampshire and National Registry certification/ licensure. (Rescue Inc. Must be the primary service affiliation)
- AHA BLS Healthcare provider
- ACLS
- PEPP / PALSP
- TLSH / TCCC / TECC
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to safely load and transfer patents using a variety of transfer devices, maneuvering through hallways, up and down stairways, and other physical barriers as required.
- Demonstrate and be a model, within the organization and community, of good health and safety practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact on a professional level with patients, their families, hospital staff, general public and other Public Safety Agencies, providing quality Customer Service at all times.
- Protect and maintain the confidentiality of any and all information related to patient care activities and information related to internal agency operations.
- Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of Clinical Practice and new developments in the field, including agency’s policies and procedures.
- Operate all agency assigned vehicles under control at all times in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws governing vehicle operation. Comply with approved agency policy regarding Emergency Vehicle Operations Program.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the service area. Be capable of utilizing preprinted and/or map based directions for purpose of locating sites within the service area. Be aware of any changes in roadways or points of access.
- Report on appropriate forms any malfunction, loss and/or damage to the physical plant, vehicles and equipment.
- Complete all required patient documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Complete any other assigned documentation or incident reporting.
- Interact on a professional level with co-workers and supervisors.
- Assist in new provider orientation, clinical clearance, training and quality assurance.
- Support and promote the activities, goals and objectives of the agency.
Pay Range
$23.75 - $31.75 per hour
