Paramedic

About the Role

As a Paramedic at Lone Peak Hospital, you will help provide exceptional patient care in our fast-paced emergency room. You will support the nursing staff in caring for individuals with needs ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Quickly and skillfully inform the RN staff of a patient’s chief complaint and presenting symptoms to aid in initial assessment.
• Assist RNs and physicians with patient and family education.
• Champion surveillance, prevention, and control of infection by following established policies and using personal protective measures.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, orthopedic skills, Foley insertion, and all transporter duties.

Requirements

• Paramedic certification.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 7 days of employment).
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (must be obtained within 6 months of employment).
• Neonate Resuscitate (must be obtained within 90 days of employment).
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment).
