Paramedic

About the role

The Paramedic role is integral to Parachute's mission of providing an elevated plasma donation experience. This position is based in McComb, MS and offers competitive compensation with potential bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Educate potential donors on the plasmapheresis process and donor safety.
• Evaluate donors for medical suitability and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Counsel donors on deferrals and provide medical advice.
• Manage donor injuries and reactions, and maintain medical supplies.
• Maintain medical communication logs and review test results.
• Participate in the Hepatitis B program for staff.

Requirements

• Current certification/licensure as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, or equivalent.
• Current CPR Certification.
• At least six (6) months of experience in a GMP environment with plasma or whole blood experience, though related clinical experience may also be considered.
• Able to perform tasks requiring stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
