MercyOne Waterloo Full-Time 40 hrs/week

MercyOne is dedicated to enhancing the health of its communities. It operates three medical centers providing 24-hour emergency care and specializes in trauma and chest pain centers.

Responsibilities

• Provides outcome/goal-based nursing care for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or ED providers.
• Adheres to MercyOne’s performance expectations and performs all defined services in alignment with the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Conducts initial and ongoing observations to gather data.
• Aids in developing and implementing an outcome/goal-based plan of care.
• Aids in monitoring patient progress towards individual identified patient outcomes/goals.
• Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes/goals.

General Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year ambulance or emergency room experience preferred.
• Current certified Iowa EMT-PM or ACLS, PALS, HTLS provider.
• Mandatory Reporter.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.

Education

• Graduate of a Iowa Paramedic Specialist Course or National Paramedic Course.
