Paramedic

Full-time Paramedic position with a 72-hours on, 144-hours off schedule (3 days on, 6 days off) based in Bottineau, ND, covering Bottineau and McHenry counties, including Lake Metigoshe and the International Peace Garden.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls promptly and provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill or injured.
• Assess the nature of injuries or illnesses to determine appropriate medical procedures.
• Administer medications, start intravenous fluids, perform advanced airway management, and other medical procedures as needed.
• Transport patients safely to medical facilities.
• Document all assessment findings, treatments provided, and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders including healthcare providers, law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency management.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• NREMT Paramedic certification.
• ND Paramedic licensure (or able to obtain).
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (or other like certification).

Skills

• Strong background in emergency medicine, triage, and urgent care.
• Ability to operate emergency vehicles.
• Capable of heavy lifting and moving patients when necessary.
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
• Experience working in hospital or critical care settings.

Pay

Hourly wage starting at $23.00 ($67,000/year), dependent on experience. Additional 2.5% wage increase for employees with a bachelor's degree.
