Paramedic

Shifts Available: Nights. Full‑time position working 12‑hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. at Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signs monitoring under supervision.
• Assist with airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts.
• Provide wound care, apply splints, assist with suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies.
• Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units and assisting with room turnover and preparation.
• Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point‑of‑care testing as permitted by hospital policy.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high‑acuity patient management, and assist with clinical procedures and transitions of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or related experience) required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Basic EMT training or ER experience required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Current PALS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
