Paramedic - Ambulatory Services - Occupational Medicine

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical and technical support services in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Supports the delivery of occupational health services, injury care, regulatory examinations, health screenings, and preventative services.
  • Performs a variety of clinical procedures and diagnostic testing activities within the scope of Ohio paramedic certification and organizational policy.
  • Promotes efficient clinic operations, quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience.
  • Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of licensed providers.
  • Obtains patient histories and vital signs.
  • Performs occupational health testing and screenings.
  • Administers medications and immunizations as ordered.
  • Collects laboratory specimens.
  • Assists with examinations and procedures.
  • Supports clinic operations.
  • Collaborates with providers and clinic staff to ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of occupational medicine services.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Unexpired Ohio Paramedic Certification is required.
  • Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
