Responsibilities
- Provides clinical and technical support services in an ambulatory care setting.
- Supports the delivery of occupational health services, injury care, regulatory examinations, health screenings, and preventative services.
- Performs a variety of clinical procedures and diagnostic testing activities within the scope of Ohio paramedic certification and organizational policy.
- Promotes efficient clinic operations, quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience.
- Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of licensed providers.
- Obtains patient histories and vital signs.
- Performs occupational health testing and screenings.
- Administers medications and immunizations as ordered.
- Collects laboratory specimens.
- Assists with examinations and procedures.
- Supports clinic operations.
- Collaborates with providers and clinic staff to ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of occupational medicine services.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Unexpired Ohio Paramedic Certification is required.
- Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred.
- 2 years of relevant experience required.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
