Occupational Therapist (Hand/Outpatient, Per Diem)

Job Description

  • Evaluates patients, establishes goals and implements treatment program per department's procedures and standards of care in a supportive and caring environment.
  • Appropriately assesses and manages pain in accordance with the established guidelines.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge/skill necessary to provide care appropriate ranging in age from infant to elder.
  • Instructs patients and families in Occupational therapy procedures as part of a patient's on going program as needed.
  • Adequately plans for patient's discharge involving other pertinent team members, when appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
  • Licensure Occupational Therapist License required.
  • 0-1 years related work experience required in Occupational Therapy, with specialization in Hand Therapy for at least one year.
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Hand Therapy

  • Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Physical Nature Of The Job

  • Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of force frequently. Work is physically demanding and requires extended periods of standing and/or moving.

Pay Range

Pay Range $38.50 - $51.82. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
