About the Role

The HCA HealthONE AirLife EMS team is a premier pre-hospital medical transport program located in Denver, Colorado. AirLife EMS operates a fleet of ground ambulances to care for and transport ill or injured patients throughout the Rocky Mountain region. The team includes a dedicated communication center that manages requests for medical transport across all service modes. In coordination with AirLife's Critical Care team, which offers rotor and fixed-wing transport, the program provides an integrated transport system with appropriate clinical care for any agency or facility needing medical transport. AirLife is part of HCA HealthONE, one of the largest healthcare systems in Metro Denver, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a connected network.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced life support, including comprehensive patient assessment, invasive airway management, cardiac monitoring, and medication administration.
• Serve in a leadership role with other pre-hospital care providers.
• Communicate verbally with patients, pre-hospital providers, and hospital personnel, including physician medical directors.
• Complete extensive written documentation on patient condition and treatment provided.
• Understand all applicable legal, moral, and ethical issues surrounding emergency medical services.
• Dedicate time to continued learning through continuing education and maintenance of required licensures and certifications.
• Respond to all calls requested by the company.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date narcotic logs.

Requirements

• At least 19 years of age at the time of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Maintain an insurable driving record per the Company Driving Privileges Policy.
• Criminal background must meet Company standards.
• Current Colorado State Paramedic Certification or License.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• Current National Registry Certification.
• Current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
