Paramedic - 911 & Critical Care or Registered Nurse - 911 & Critical Care Transport - FT
About the role
The Rice Lake critical care transport team includes Critical Care Paramedics, Registered Nurses, and Emergency Medical Technicians – Basic and Advance. This team provides care and management of patients of all ages and acuity in a mobile environment for 911 and interfacility transports. Patient care is determined on patient needs, acuity, assessment, and written/protocol orders under the direction of a medical provider. Our team offers 12 and 24 hour shifts, weekend and holiday rotations, and self-scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced medical care to patients in a mobile environment.
- Assess patient needs and acuity, and determine appropriate care based on written/protocol orders.
- Work closely with medical providers to ensure patient safety and care.
- Operate and troubleshoot various medical equipment as needed.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain competency in emergency medical procedures.
- Support the team by assisting with patient care and transportation logistics.
Qualifications
- Paramedic: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree in Paramedic Technology or Paramedicine preferred; Minimum of two years of experience as a paramedic in an Ambulance setting; National Registry status at a Paramedic level; State license required.
- Nurse: Graduate from an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred; Current RN license; Required certifications include BLS, PHTLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; State-specific certifications may be required.
