Paramedic - 1 shift/week: 7a-7p

About the role

The Paramedic reviews emergency medical systems and provides support in emergency medical situations. Working under general supervision for routine situations, this position manages critical patient care and emergency response, and ensures timeliness of reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conducts reviews of emergency medical systems and protocols to ensure proper functionality and adherence to established standards.
• Ensures the quality and timeliness of reports and records related to emergency medical services to maintain accurate records.
• Manages employee inquiries and troubleshoots issues requiring policy interpretation to provide guidance and resolution.
• Coaches lower-level professionals to support their growth and development.
• Maintains a high level of expertise in emergency medical procedures, treatments, and technologies to deliver effective patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of Paramedic experience (ED/Occ Health)
• 3 years of EMS paramedic experience (Carelink)
• Carelink Transport positions: 3 years of EMS paramedic or critical care transport paramedic experience
• Carelink relief paramedics: 5 years of EMS paramedic experience & 1 year of critical care transport experience

Qualifications

• Current valid NC Paramedic certification
• BLS (CPR-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider)
• ACLS - American Red Cross or Healthcare Provider
• Valid Driver's License
• If driving a CH vehicle: minimum 5 years as a valid licensed driver with MVR approved by Risk Management
• Carelink: Emergency Vehicle Operator's course completed within 1 year of hire
