Paralegal - Real Estate
Core Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate due diligence, including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and underlying documents
- Prepare title and survey objection letters
- Cook up title and survey issue resolutions and finalize title pro forma and survey
- Analyze and resolve open issues in zoning reports
- Aid in preparation and review of real estate conveyance and closing documents
- Collapse closing of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and financings, debt and equity transactions including signature page packages, document delivery, monitor closing checklists, handle recording requirements at closing
- Prepare closing books
- Draft and file UCC financing statements
- Order and evaluate UCC, lien, litigation and similar searches
- Prepare and file formation documents
- Draft leases, purchase contracts, easements, deeds, and other real property related documents
- Work on special assignments that may require conducting routine factual research, preparing reports and handling associated filings
- Interface with firm clients and other outside entities regarding assigned matters
- Execute on the minute details of a project or task, in addition to providing alternative options/solutions to best serve internal and external clients
- Research and execute on necessary procedures to meet client requests
- Retrieve, organize, review, analyze and summarize documents
- Effectively set priorities, provide timely updates, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects
- Meticulous time recording skills to accurately bill clients
Requirements
- Paralegal Certificate or related degree preferred
- 5 Years' Experience
- Billable requirement: 1600 hours per year
- 5 days in-office
Computer Applications Used
- Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Kofax iManage
- Orbital
Pay & Benefits
- The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000

Schedule
Start time for this role will be either 8:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. (Work day hours Monday to Thursday 7.75 hours and Friday 7.5 hours plus overtime when necessary.)
