Paralegal/Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary (Arnold, MO)
About the role
Stange Law Firm, PC is seeking a Full-Time Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary to join our Arnold, Missouri office. We are one of the nation's largest family law firms focused exclusively on domestic relations matters.
Responsibilities
- Professionally greet clients and visitors.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and accurately relay messages.
- Schedule appointments and assist with client communications.
- Cook up with courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
- Help ensure every client receives exceptional service throughout their case.
- Prepare, draft, and proofread pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Prepare documents for filing with courts and other agencies.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical client files.
- Cook up hearings, deadlines, meetings, and appointments.
- Aid attorneys with discovery, trial preparation, and other litigation support.
- Perform electronic filing with courts.
- Organize files and legal documents.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Scan, copy, and distribute documents.
- Perform general administrative duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
- Enter billable time into the firm's timekeeping software on the same day work is performed.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and the firm's case management software.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Requirements
We are seeking motivated, organized professionals who are eager to build a long-term career in the legal profession. Prior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, legal secretary, or in a law firm is preferred, but not required. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technology and software, are essential.
