Paralegal – Insurance Defense (Remote – Pennsylvania)
About the role
Join Allstate's Litigation Services team as a Paralegal Specialist, where your contributions will be essential to delivering strong legal outcomes and exceptional service to our clients. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on insurance defense matters, including bodily injury and third-party liability claims. You'll take ownership of key aspects of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, coordinating with clients and vendors, reviewing medical records, and supporting attorneys through trial preparation.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from inception through resolution, including trial, arbitration, and mediation preparation.
- Draft, review, file, and serve pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents for attorney review and approval.
- Prepare and manage written discoveries, including drafting discovery requests and responses and coordinating document production.
- Review, organize, summarize, and maintain medical records, billing records, and other case-related documentation.
- Assist attorneys in evaluating injury-related claims through detailed review and analysis of medical records and supporting documentation.
- Cover clients, vendors, medical providers, and expert witnesses throughout the litigation process.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, medical providers, expert witnesses, vendors, and opposing counsel to support case progression.
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), expert witness activities, and other litigation-related events.
- Prepare exhibits, case summaries, witness files, and other materials in support of hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Handle electronic filing and service of legal documents in accordance with applicable court rules and procedures.
- Monitor case deadlines, court requirements, and litigation calendars to ensure timely and compliant case management.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defense, bodily injury, or civil litigation.
- Experience supporting litigation involving bodily injury and/or third-party liability claims preferred.
- Strong understanding of legal procedures, including pleadings, discovery, motions, court filings, and trial preparation.
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania litigation practices and electronic court filing systems is strongly preferred.
- Experience drafting discovery responses, discovery requests, and motion-related documents.
- Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records and supporting injury-related claims evaluation.
- Experience coordinating clients, vendors, medical providers, and expert witnesses throughout the litigation process.
- Experience managing high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Must meet all applicable paralegal certification, registration, or licensure requirements as defined by Pennsylvania state.

Pay
Compensation offered for this role is 28.03 - 42.99 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
