About the role
Paralegals in our Employment practice work closely with attorneys and partners in involving discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, etc., through the litigation process.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with attorneys and partners in involving discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, etc., through the litigation process.
- Prepare substantive responses for Plaintiff and review Defendant’s responses.
- Prepare documents for filing with the state and federal court.
- Draft correspondence and regularly communicate with clients, experts, and defense counsel in an effective and courteous manner.
- Ownership of calendaring and scheduling deadlines.
- Aid in pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits.
- Communicate effectively with Partners and Associates.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of Paralegal experience in Employment Litigation for Single Plaintiff (FEHA).
- Strong knowledge of employment law and state and federal filing process.
- Familiarity with DFEH and EEOC claims process.
- Experience drafting Meet and Confer responses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Federal procedure is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
- Type at least 40 wpm.
Skills

Pay
$34.62/hr. - $48.08/hr. ($72,000-$90,000k annually) depending on experience
