The role plays a key part in supporting corporate legal and governance operations within a fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare organization. You will work closely with legal counsel, compliance teams, and business stakeholders to ensure corporate records, regulatory filings, and governance processes are accurate, timely, and well maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Support corporate governance activities including entity formation, subsidiary maintenance, and ongoing corporate record management to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft, review, and maintain legal documentation such as governance materials, regulatory filings, provider and vendor contracts, and board-related documents.
  • Affirmative action statement: Assist with filings and communications with government agencies, including Departments of Insurance and Secretaries of State, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of relevant statutes, case law, and regulatory guidance to support legal and compliance decision-making.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, compliance teams, and external partners to support governance, regulatory, and business initiatives.
  • Support interactions with regulators by responding to inquiries, gathering documentation, and maintaining organized records of correspondence and filings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal studies degree, or paralegal certification.
  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in corporate law, compliance, or a law firm environment, ideally with exposure to governance or regulatory work.
  • Experience working in the healthcare or insurance industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance processes, regulatory filings, and entity management.
  • Excellent research, writing, and document drafting skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across legal, compliance, and business teams.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
