Paralegal
Responsibilities
Maintain and meet critical deadlines.
Manage numerous matters concurrently.
Interact with clients to explain required processes, obtain and receive information, and organize same.
Organize and maintain complex transaction files and checklists.
Draft initial organizational documents and ancillary agreements.
Interact with vendors to obtain documentation necessary for performance of duties.
Conduct factual research via the internet.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
Process invoices in the firm’s accounting system.
Manage virtual data rooms.
Assist attorneys with other various tasks and assignments as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program is a plus.
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in real estate practice area is required.
- Ability to stay abreast of changing local, state, and federal laws, as needed.
- Knowledge of corporate organization and structure, including various forms of entities and applicable filings with Secretary of State and Comptroller.
- Familiarity with basic documents associated with real estate acquisitions and loan financing.
- Proven ability to interface with clients and clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to manage team collaboration for completion of projects and transactions.
- Solid organizational skills, initiative, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and to manage and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be available to work overtime when needed and as requested.
- Software knowledge must include intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocs or other document management systems, and Intapp or other time entry systems.
- Efficient and cost-effective use of practice support, databases, and other technology.
- High proficiency in grammar, proofreading, and transcription.
- Must exercise discretion with confidential and sensitive information and use good judgment while prioritizing needs of the clients and the firm.
- Ability to work well under pressure and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
Pay
The expected annual salary for this position ranges from $75,000-90,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to experience level, education/training, and relevant skills.
