Paralegal (100% Remote)
Responsibilities
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents, including summonses, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas under attorney or paralegal supervision
- Congduct legal research and review legal journals
- Assist attorneys with collecting employment, medical, and other case-related records
- Assist with preparing legal documents for court submission
- Attend client interviews, hearings, depositions, and other legal meetings and take notes
- Organize and maintain legal documents, law libraries, and case files
- Prepare and process legal documents, including summonses, subpoenas, complaints, appeals, motions, and pretrial agreements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent training
- 0-2 years of related experience
- Basic knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the legal process
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Hours and Location
M-F, 40 hours/week
100% remote
