About the Opportunity

Acuvance ROI is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with hands-on Paragon system expertise to serve as a backfill resource for one of our healthcare clients. This is a billable contract engagement supporting a client whose lead Payroll professional is transitioning to a Workday Payroll deployment. Your mission: keep payroll running seamlessly - on time, on system, and without disruption.

What You'll Do

• Process end-to-end payroll using the client's existing Paragon-based workflows and business processes
• Identify and correct payroll errors in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy across all pay cycles
• Partner with Finance to ensure bank file transfers and money movement occur on schedule for each payroll cycle
• Process Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) and apply the downstream impact to employee pay accurately
• Serve as a steady operational presence while the client's internal payroll lead focuses on Workday deployment

What You Bring

• 5+ years of payroll processing experience, with direct hands-on experience on the Paragon payroll system
• A healthcare industry background, ideally within a hospital or health system environment
• Demonstrated ability to follow established business processes and merge manual workflows with system-based payroll processing
• Strong attention to detail and a track record of error-free, on-time payroll execution
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and collaborating with distributed teams
• Minimal travel flexibility to establish relationships on-site as needed
• Prior experience supporting a payroll transition or system implementation (preferred)
• Familiarity with Workday Payroll (not required - but helpful context for the client environment) (preferred)
