Paraeducators Special Education - Full Time

About the role

The position is 32.50 hours per week, 10 months per year, with full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs in the classroom setting
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff
• Provide emotional support and assistance to students and families

Requirements

• Child Development Associate (CDA), associate degree, or Para-Pro required

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Knowledge of special education principles and practices
• Ability to manage behavior and provide positive reinforcement
• Proficiency in using assistive technology
