About the role
Under direct supervision, perform a wide variety of services associated with the special education instructional program in the classroom and other locations in the school. Employees in this assignment spend a major portion of their time working with pupils in small groups or as tutors on a one-to-one basis. The remainder of the time is spent preparing instructional materials and performing other tasks as assigned.

Requirements
Previous experience is desirable in working with special education children, as a teacher, with recognized youth groups, or as a volunteer at a school.
Must meet the following requirements to comply with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA): Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent and any one of the following:
- Completion of 2 years of college at an Accredited Institution of Higher Education (48 units)
- Possession of an Associate's Degree or higher degree
- Passage of the CBEST exam
- Passage of a BUSD approved Paraprofessional Exam
Required documents: Copy of Transcript or Paraprofessional Testing Resume.
Pay
$20.19 - $24.51 per hour
Schedule
- Part-time, school year
- 6 hours per day, Monday–Friday: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm
