Paraeducator - Oak Mesa

About the role

Aides receive their instruction from the certificated staff. Employees in this assignment spend a major portion of their time working with pupils in small groups or as tutors on a one-to-one basis. The remainder of the time is spent in preparing instructional materials, and in performing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of services associated with the instructional program both in the classroom and other locations in the school.
• Work with pupils in small groups or as tutors on a one-to-one basis.
• Prepare instructional materials.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND any one of the following:
• Completion of two (2) years of college at an Accredited Institution of Higher Education (48 units)
• Possession of an Associate's degree or higher degree
• Passage of both sections of the CBEST
• Possession of a Bonita Unified School District (BUSD) approved Paraprofessional Exam or possession of a BUSD approved Paraprofessional Certificate
