Paraeducator - Multilingual Education (MLE) - Long Term Temp
About the Role
This is a limited-term, hourly paraeducator position for the 2026/2027 school year, following the 189-day KAP calendar. The average daily schedule is 6.0 hours, though daily hours may vary based on student days.
Pay
Hourly salary ranges from $29.43 to $36.18, based on the KAP Salary Schedule. Step placement is determined by verified years of experience in an educational unit. Salary is annualized and paid through August.
Requirements
Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in Washington State through one of the following:
- Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- 72 college-level credits from an accredited institution.
- A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications but are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you may still apply. The chosen finalist will have the opportunity to take the test prior to formal hiring.
Post-Hire Requirements
Upon hire, paraeducators must complete state-required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team.
